Fictive Art Seminar by James Thurman

  • Denton Makers Center 728 North Elm Street Denton, TX, 76201 United States (map)

Fictive Art typically refers to visual artworks that have a supporting fictional narrative in addition to their physical aspects. This seminar will give an overview of Fictive Art through examples of James’ two major fictive art projects along with inspirations and examples of work by other fictive artists. Attendees will also be guided through a quick exercise to imagine their own possible fictive art project...

Students can just bring something to record their ideas (pad of paper, tablet, laptop, sketchbook, etc.)
